Hillcrest Villagers is an athletic club with a rich
heritage situated in the heart of Hillcrest at the William
Gillitts sports ground, where we have our own clubhouse. Hillcrest
Villagers was founded in 1977 and over the years we have had many
really talented athletes , some of them world class. Our membership
currently stands at just over 300 athletes.
There are club runs almost every morning from various venues in
and around the Hillcrest area. Our time trials are held every
Thursday at 18h00 , the distances being 2, 4 or 8 kilometres.

PASTA EVENING
The annual pasta evening will be held on the 29th May 2012 at Le Domaine Resturant. Guest speaker this year is Helen Lucre who is a
3 times Comrades winner. Tickets are being sold for a price of R80 which includes a 3 course meal as well as entrance into the
lucky draw prizes! Tickets are open to everyone, not just comrades runners, so come along and enjoy the evening with us!!
COMRADES BUS
Hillcrest Villagers will have a bus leaving from HVAC and transporting runners to the start of comrades for R30. The bus will be leaving
at 3:30am, tickets are on sale from the 1st May.
We have recently changed our time trial course to start and end at our club so come and try out our new challenging route, which includes the notorious Hospital Hill!!
Thank you to everyone who helped with the NOSA marathon that was hosted by Hillcrest Villagers on the 12th Febuary 2012, it was a huge success, thanks only to your input!
TIME TRIAL COMPETITION
The new time trial competition commenced on the 12th April 2012.
As of the 16th May there is a tie first place in the 4km competition with
Derek Wasserfall and
Heinz Huber, meanwhile in the 8km
Justin Sciocatti has taken the lead with 7 points, beating his target time 3 weeks in a row.
The top ten runners for both the 4km and 8km are available. Go to
